| Avon Valley Golf and Country Club was established in 1971 as a replacement for the old Windsor nine hole course. Play started in 1973 when 12 holes were opened. Since then it has grown to a challenging well groomed 18 hole golf course. Hilly terrain, prevailing winds and small greens, make accuracy a must for good scores. Many recent improvements enhance the challenge and enjoyment of an already beautiful course. Avon Valley is noted for its friendly staff and members, making visitors feel welcome. Course usually operates from mid to late April until late October or early November, depending on weather conditions. |
